1st Assembly: Respect

Our 1st  Assembly was wonderful!

Amber students demonstrated that they know how to be an audience.

Important H1N1 Update: 10/6/09

Vaccination Plan 

The NYCDOE's vaccination plan for elementary school students (students in all schools that serve elementary grades) and D75 students includes:

Schools/buildings with <400 students enrolled in elementary school grades and D75 programs:
Starting 10/28 the school nurse will vaccinate students over a 4-week period.

1st Assembly: Respect

1st Assembly is scheduled for Monday, October 26th. It will be the induction ceremony for the new student council and the 4th grade student leaders. It will be held at the Academy of Medicine at E. 103rd and 5th Avenue.

Parent Workshop for Middle School
 
Thursday, Oct. 29th a workshop will be held for the parents of fifth graders regarding applying to Middle schools.

Amber Featured in Manhattan Times Article!!!!
 
Joy at Amber Charter School as test scores are tops in Manhattan

There was joy in the hallways of Amber Charter School May 7. That was the day that the NYC Department of Education unveiled scores for the English Language Arts Test (known in education circles as the ELA) that showed Amber leading all other charter schools in Manhattan with a school-wide score of 88.5 percent. These ELA results indicate that nearly nine out of every ten students in Ambers 3rd, 4th and 5th grades are reading at or above grade level.
